What is VetChange?

Vetchange is an online self-help program for U.S. military veterans concerned about their drinking. It helps veterans build skills to better manage their drinking and PTSD symptoms.

Public Version Coming Soon

VetChange is closed for now. The original website was a pilot version developed and tested by researchers at Boston University and VA Boston. A randomized trial produced evidence that VetChange helped some veterans to drink less and decrease their PTSD symptoms. (For more, see this news story or the outcomes study abstract).

With support from the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation and the VA's National Center for PTSD, a new, enhanced version of VetChange open to all veterans will launch in the fall of 2014.

If you need assistance with alcohol, drug or mental health concerns now, please visit the resources page.
